The next generation of Kindle has reportedly sold more units in four weeks than its earlier version in the same period since its launch four weeks ago, the company announced.

The company did not provide more detail about number of units sold, however said that customers unexpectedly ordered more units of new ‘eReader’ at Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk on the web than any other product. The company started shipping the new Kindle to its customers from September 25th.
The kindle is the best seller at Amazon.com for two consecutive years and the new generation “continues this trends, said Steven Kessel, senior vice president.
