Two of the largest retailers of United States, Walmart and Sears, have annouced that their stores will remain open on Thanksgiving 2010 day. Thanksgiving falls a day before the greatest sale of the year, Black Friday.  Many major stores keep their doors shut on this day to get prepared for the giant sale.

Sears will reportedly open the doors early morning but it will close them by noon. Walmart on the other hand will open every where unless it is required by authorities to close the store.  “Most Walmart stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day unless they are required to be closed by a city ordinance,”, said Walmart spokesman. There is no confirmation from other stores including Target, JC Penny and Best Buy.
