Abbott Laboratories, which produces various baby milk formula products, has recalled the powdered Similac formula.  According to the reports, company is voluntarily recalling the product after it found the beetles in the company’s production area of one of their manufacturing facilities.

Abbott published information about the affected products after it announced the Similac recall. However, the website went down as soon as the recall news spread through number of news sources. It looks like that company’s servers were not capable of handling that much traffic. Website came up online this morning.

The Similac recall affects few Caribbean countries including U.S., Puerto Rico, Guam. Abbott is advising its customer to go to www.similac.com/recall/lookup to determine if their product is affected in the recall. Customers can also call to (800) 986-8850 for any question.
