RIM Playbook is enterprise device: Not Apple iPad or Samsung Galaxy Tab killer

October 3rd, 2010ComputersRIM, the maker of Blackberry branded smartphones, unveiled its first tablet computer called Playbook. As expected, everyone thought Playbook is RIM’s attempt to bring Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab killer. eWeek, the respected technology news magazine, reported that Playbook doesn’t have enough applications and content to give the hard time to iPad. However, the website expected that Playbook will come up as an business or enterprise tablet. It is good place to note here both Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab has not enjoyed the vast acceptable in the enterprise world.
Regardless of how good the Playbook is, the device is not giving an immediate challenge to iPad or Galaxy Tab because the tablet will hit the market sometime next year. There are already rumors that Apple plans to release second version of iPad before the shopping season of 2010. It is also expected that second-generation iPad will have some expertise features.
Everything seems to be a mixed. Let’s see how things turn out when RIM Playbook and Apple iPad 2 hit the store shelves.
