The U.S wireless carrier, Verizon Wireless, launched highly anticipated Motorola Droid X on July 15. The wireless service provider is also all set to launch Droid 2 sometime in August. Droid X which features biggest screen was so successful in U.S. market that device is completed sold-out since the day it landed on Verizon retails stores and online store.

It is not U.S but the Droid X is one of the most wished phones in the rest of the world. It seems that Droid X, which will be marketed under the Milestone brand in the Europe, will hit some European markets very soon. There are also reports the Motorola Mile Stone 2 (Motorola Droid 2) will immediate follow it.

According to Unwired View, Motorola Milestone 2 (Droid 2) will be available to consumers in France during the Christmas 2010.

Why Motorola might select new name of Droid X? The “Droid” Trademark belongs to Verizon therefore the Motorola has to change the name of the phone for other wireless carriers
