Yes, many iPhone 4 owners are reporting the reception issue because of the problem in the antenna of the device. ABC reported yesterday that the phone is already dropping calls.

Apple asked the iPhone users to hold it properly:  There is no problem in the phone but the iPhone 4 users need to learn how to hold the phone. It was the indirect message from the Apple statement.  iPhone 4 users should “avoid gripping it in the lower left corner in a way that covers both sides of the black strip in the metal band.” Apple said.
