Verizon to offer prepaid data plans for Motorola Droid X, Droid 2, Incredible, Eris

September 3rd, 2010AndroidVerizon has announced that it will offer prepaid plans unlimited 3G plans for smartphones. According to UnWired News, the retail stores of the wireless carrier will accept the order for prepaid plans from today and the packages will be available on Verizon online store from September 28.
The plan can be only be used with the given list of phones which including Motorola Droid X, Motorola Droid 2, HTC Droid Incredible, HTC Droid Eris. Verizon launched Droid X and Droid 2 in June and July respectively for the postpaid plans. HTC Droid Incredible was also release recently.
Apart from unlimited 3G plan which doesn’t have data limitation, Verizon introduced another cheap data plan for multimedia phones which has 25MB limit. Unlimited 3G plan cost $30 per month whereas monthly bill of limited data plan is $10.It was not clear that how Verizon Wireless, HTC and Motorola will keep up with the growing demand of phone including Droid 2, Droid X and Incredible because these devices has remained hard-to-find since their launch.
Palm Pre Plus, Palm Pixi Plus, Motorola Droid, Motorola Devour, HTC Droid Eris and LG Ally and other phones are also in the list of supported smartphones.
