    It looks funny but so far HP has never officially announced the existence of HP slate despite after several images were leaked and several videos were appeared on YouTube . But all become clear that after Steve Ballmer had demonstrated a prototype of it during his keynote speech at CES earlier this year but HP remained quite in its corner. Like Apple, HP is learning a lesson to create a hype of product to keep secret of its new development.

    Though the device is linked as a contender to iPad, the HP 500 is being sold to target corporate customers. However, it does not prevent any person to buy this new device. You can go on HP website and buy it with your credit card. The price is set at $799 for the tablet.

    For many of you who do not remember the specification of the tablet, here are the features you can get with this tablet. It has touch screen of 8.9 inches with resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels and has an intel Atom X 540 processors with 1.86 GHZ. It also comes with 2GB RAM, Flash memory with 64 GB capacity, 3 mega pixel camera and three USB ports and it runs with Window 7 professional.

    It is yet surprising that Android developers from AllDroidForum claimed that the phone has been rooted successfully and they have also posted the step by step instructions to do all these in the video. Rooting the Android powered phone is the most important thing to load the customer ROM on the devices.

    Earlier, there was rumor that Phone will be brick itself if device detects the user attempting to boot the device with unathorized software.

    Some believe that there is no reason to root Motorola Droid X because it also has latest Android 2.1 installed and Verizon has already announced that it will push Android 2.2 on the phone.

    Droid X was released just a week ago on July 15 and it has remained out-of-stock since then. Phone cost $199 with $100 rebated and Verizon Wireless Service contract.

    Meanwhile, the display problem that some users were experiencing with device is appeared to be fixed. Verizon official said that the problem is happening in less than one tenth of one percent of mobiles. Affected users can take their cell phone to local verizon outlet and will get it fixed. however, update to fix the problem is being pushed for Droid X customers.

    All signs are pointing that Verizon may not bring iPhone any time soon on its network. It looks as though Verizon is not interested to make iPhone available on its network.

    Verizon is expected to launch much talked and hyped Motorola Droid X on July 15. The company ran campaign of Droid X in which it focused on the difference between two iPhone and Droid X over antenna issue. If the company is poking fun of iPhone, how it will convince people to buy Verizon iPhone if ever launched.

    Everybody needs competition; therefore, there is a lot of curiosity for Verizon iPhone. But, It appears that Verizon iPhone is not going to become reality any time soon. May be in next year, when we start forgetting negative ads about iPhone.
    Meanwhile, New Droid comes with bigger screen of 4.3 inches with 854X480 resolutions. It also has Swype software keyboard that allows user to type faster than regular Android keyboard which can be found in other Android based phones such as HTC EVO 4G. The phone has capability to shoot HD videos and it runs on Android 2.1 Operating system.

    Verizon, which is expected to launch much, talked Motorola Droid X on July 15, pokes fun of iPhone 4 antenna issue in the Droid X advertisement. It makes us think that if the company is even thinking seriously to offer iPhone on its network, If it does then how will it convince its user to buy Verizon iPhone when it has increased its attack on iPhone 4.
    However, Verizon Bosses told employees during the rare meeting that the company is only interested in Android powered phones for now.

    In only few days after Skype launched the Skype application for the iPhone 3G, 5 million users have downloaded applications on the iPhones, According to Mashable.

    The new update ( new appication for first time user) allows users to make VoIP calls through 3G network along with Wi-Fi network. New version can be used on the iPod Touch.

    The prices of VoIP calls over 3G will only be defined at the end of the year, highlighting the main attraction of the new version: Skype is offering 3G calling service for free until August and then will charge minimal service charge from users. Before the update, Skype was used only on Wi-Fi network
