Google Voice finally gets its way to iOS based Apple iPhone. Google annouced today on official Google Blog that it releases the native Google Voice App for iPhone. “Today we’re taking the Google Voice experience on the iPhone to a whole new level with the launch of the official Google Voice for iPhone app.”, Google Software Engineer, Christian Brunschen, wrote in the blog post.
Google Voice for iPhone will have almost all features Android version of the software. The software will allow “Cheap rates for international calls” , “Free text messaging to U.S. numbers”, ” Voicemail transcription” and last but not least ” Display your Google Voice number as caller ID when making call”.

The iPhone App for Google Voice also have push notification for voicemail and text messages.

After observing the Veteran’s Day through its Doodle, Google is celebrating the 160th Birthday of Robert Louis Stevenson today. Robert Louis Stevenson was born on 13 November 1850. He was a poet, essayist and travel writer.
Robert Louis Stevenson’s first novel was published when he in a teen age. He was engineering and law student at University of Edinburgh. Even though he was suffering from a chronic illness, the great poem kept on writing. Robert Louis Stevenson wrote on many topics. His one of the quotes is that ” Absences are a good influence in love and keep it bright and delicate.”. Robert Louis Stevenson also wrote about friendship when said that ” A friend is a gift you give yourself.”
Google celebrate the birthday, anniversary and other event of great event. Recently Google celebrated its own birthday, the discovery of X-Ray and Veteran’s Day. Google homepage is dedicated to Robert Louis Stevenson today.

X-Ray was first acciendently discovered by German Scientist, Wilhelm Rontgen, in 1885. Rontgen was investigating the cathode rays when he came across X-Rays emanating from Crookes tubes. According to the X-Ray history, the German Scientist did the first X-Ray experiment on the hand of his wife. Wilhelm Rontgen gets the credit of all devices including the X-Ray machine because his discovery made all inventions possible.
Google celebrate important events through the Google Doodle. This year, among the most striking are the doodles interactive logo to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Pac-Man and the video that recalled the 70th anniversary of John Lennon. -

Every time Google celebrates anytime with Google Doodle, the first thing many people do is to find the related apps on iPhone and Android phones. We all know that Google Doodle is celebrating the discovery of X-Rays today. Therefore, we checked iPhone App Store for X-Rays related Apps.
X-rays App is the first application if we search “X-rays” on Apple iPhone App Store. X-rays App is not the X-rays engine but the App provides number of X-ray images for users to identify the broken or fractured bones. The App seems to be designed for Medical professionals unless someone is very interested in bones regardless of profession.X-Rays app provides limited X-ray images in the free version but user can unlock the full list of images by purchasing the complete version. All X-Ray images in the application are available offline.
Simple search on Android Market also gives the number of X-Ray related Apps. “X-Ray Instrumentation” is the first in that list.

Google is reportedly in process of launching another smartphone for the shopping season of 2010. The report which came from United Kingdom indicated that new Google phone will be powered by Android 3.0 Gingerbread. Unlike Google Nexus One, the next Google Phone will not be only sold by Google’s online store. The Search Giant reportedly have a deal with largest Mobile Retailer of United Kingdom, the Carphone Warehouse, to sell the phone in UK. It is expected that Google will have similar deal with one of wireless carriers in U.S.

Google users are able to see new option on Google Website if they access the website through their Android powered device. Yes, Google had added “Android Apps” Search featured on its website. The feature is visible only to those who go to Search Giant’s website though the Android phone. The “Android Apps” tab is dubbed alongside other Google options including “Web”, “Images” and “News”.
Users can search the Android Apps and check rating of the Apps. They can also see the number of reviews and the price of the App for Android OS. Clicking on the App in the Serach Result takes the users to Android Market of the phone.

Today would have marked the 93rd birthday of Jazz Star if he were alive. According to Wikipedia, Dizzy Gillespie played important role in the development of bebop and modern jazz. He was the source of learning and inspiration for many stars of music industry including trumpeters Miles Davis, Fats Navarro, Clifford Brown, Arturo Sandoval, Lee Morgan, Jon Faddis and Chuck Mangione. -

According to ComScore, marketing Research Company, It is first time that US internet users spent more time on Facebook in August than on any other website.
Users spent 41.1 million minutes on social networking site Facebook last month, equivalent to 10% of the time spent on the Internet at home. It looks like Facebook is growing rapidly and company also recently attracted half a billion members on its social networking site .
By comparison, Users spent 38.9 million minutes on Google owned sites during the same month. There is a slight decline for Google from July when users spent 40.5 million minutes on the Google.
However, Yahoo was at third place with 37.7 million minutes of Internet browsing, representing 9.1% of the time spent by American users.
