After Sony’s successful launch of Google TV based HDTV, Samsung also plans to release the Google Entertainment Device based TV in the first quarter of 2011. Bloomberg reported today that the company will unveil the new HDTV in the 2011 Consumer Electronics Show. Next CES will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Interestingly, Samsung is yet to decide the supplier of items to be used in  the next Google TV powered HDTV. According to reports, even the company has not decided  the chips to be used in the device.

Samsung has recently launched number of high-end devices including Galaxy S smartphone and Galaxy Tab tablet computer.

Black Friday 2010 is surely different from other Black Fridays we have seen over the years. Black Friday Ads, which usually appear a day before the big day, have already been released by Black Friday Ads website. ABC’s Becky Worley reported that the Black Friday 2010 “mania is more intense than ever.”

Since Black Friday 2010 ads are already out therefore we know the deal as well. According to ABC, Target will offer Westinghouse 40 inch LCD TV for just $298. The regular price of the product is $549. On the other hand, Walmart will have 32 inch Emerson LCD HD TV for $198 as opposed to $328 which is the actual price of the HDTV.

Best Buy and Sears are also reportedly giving the deep discounts on the entertainment devices including HDTVs.

Black Friday 2010 is still a couple of weeks away but we have started to notice that Black Friday Ads have already started to appear on different websites. Multiple media organization are reporting that Black Friday 2010 will be Gadgets and Games Friday when almost all major retailers will try to have as many electronic devices as possible on the discounted price.

As for the game consoles, Product Reviews noted that Nintendo will have to face the difficult time in Black Friday 2010 because they have not introduced anything new for long time. On the other hand, Both Microsoft and Sony have released the motion-sensor devices for their respective game consoles. Microsoft Xbox Kinect and Sony PlayStation Move are considered to be the hot products of Black Friday.

California-based Apple Inc. is reportedly in process of acquiring yet another company now. The AOL owned TechCrunch reported with the reference of Anonymous tipster that Apple is negotiating to acquire the London based Spotify. Spotify is music streaming service. Other reports indicated that Apple and Spotify are in very early stage of negotiation. The reports claimed that companies have not even talked about price and terms of agreement.

Google was attempting to acquire same company last year for $1 billion. However two companies didn’t agree on deal because of Google’s demands with regards to label deals.

According to Wikipedia, Spotify offers unlimited streaming of selected music from major labels and individuals with virtually no buffing delay.

Microsoft has announced its brand-new webstore for PC Games as part of Windows Marketplace.  The company said that service will be launched in the mid of next month.  “Microsoft Corp. today announced the Games for Windows Marketplace, a new online PC games store that combines the convenience of the Web with the power of Games on Demand online distribution.” the press release says.

According to reports, the Webstore will have  great number of PC Games including “Flight Simulator, Grand Theft Auto III, Lego Universe, Max Payne, and others.  “Games for Windows Marketplace will launch with a managed portfolio of 100 top-quality titles “, said Microsoft in the PR.

User will need Windows Live ID to access that new service by Microsoft. Windows Live ID is the same account which is used by Microsoft’s users to access Hotmail and other Live services.

The Software Giant, Microsoft, has made new promotional clips for its news motion-sensing Xbox 360 accessory The Kinect. The clip seems to be the part of “You Are The Controller” ad campaign which company launched last month.

The videos are showing the newly released games as well as motion-sensing feature of the device. Microsoft plans to release the Xbox 360 accessory, The Kinect,  on November 04.

Sony has also launched similar product for PlayStation. According to reports, the Japanese Manufacturer has sold 250,000 units of PlayStation Move since it launch last month. Microsoft seems to expect similar results from The Kinect for Xbox 3560.

If you are game lover and play games on Apple iPad then we have good news for you.  The Zynga inc, the maker of FarmVille game, has announced that it has launched FarmVille HD for Apple iPad for free. Yes, the company has launched HD version of its game. The game maker launched FarmVille Free for iPhone and iPod Touch in the mid of this year.

The new game is design especially for bigger screen such as of Apple iPad. The application has better resolution as compared to its counterpart for iPhone and iPod Touch. Zyuga has added two major features in the game apart from making its HD. The new game has in-app purchase feature and push notification.

The new version is available in Apple App Store for download and install.

Google is celebrating the birthday of great jazz icon Dizzy Gillespie (Oct. 21, 1917 – Jan. 6, 1993) through its popular Google Doodle. The Search Giant has changed its logo on its homepage to honor the great icon. Any click on the changed logo takes user to Google Search Result page which is searching “Dizzy Gillespie”.

Today would have marked the 93^rd birthday of Jazz Star  if he were alive. According to Wikipedia, Dizzy Gillespie played important role in the development of bebop and modern jazz. He was the source of learning and inspiration for many stars of music industry including trumpeters Miles Davis, Fats Navarro, Clifford Brown, Arturo Sandoval, Lee Morgan, Jon Faddis and Chuck Mangione.

The prime time cartoon series ‘The Flintstones’ is celebrating its 50th birthday today. The program, which was initially targeted for adult audiance, changed its target audiance to children after two seasons.

The series was aired on U.S. ABC channel from 1960 and it was one of the most popular cartoon series until 1977 when other show beat it.

The series had 166 chapters and its last episode was aired on April 1, 1966. The show’s success was so great that turned out to be broadcast in prime time!

It is estimated that over 300 million people in 80 countries watched the adventures of Fred, Barney, Wilma and Betty. The series that goes on for 10,000 years, during the age of stone, is still transmitted in several countries for thousands of people.

Google is celebrating is the 50th birthday with its Google Doodle.

There is good news for you if you currently have Halo: Reach. The maker of the game is planning to release the downloadable content for the game this year. Electronic Theatre noted that it is common to receive the content for the video game but releasing the update right after the game launch is surprising.

The official blog of the game developer suggested the installation of Halo: Reach in Xbox 360 HDD and it provides to step by step guide to do so.

New screenshots also indicate that there will be additional Achievements and Gamerscore. 1250 Gamerscore and 59 achievements seem to be coming with the update.
