    According to Droid-Life.com, the next Android powered phone by Verizon will come with Bing Search and Bing Maps.  HTC Merge / Lexikon User Guide reportedly confirms the debut of Bing in the Android world. It will not clear if Bing will be the default search engine of the phone.

    The news may be surprising to many readers as Microsoft considers Android as the competitor to its Windows Phone 7 platform.  Microsoft has recently started to introduce Bing in all possible platforms. The Seattle based Software Giant also released Bing App for iPhone last year.

    It is not known that when HTC Merge / Lexikon will be released. Even its official name is not confirmed as well. Phone might be called Verizon HTC Lexikon or Verizon HTC Merge.

    New website has come on the surface which provides the Jailbreak and Unlock service for iOS 4.1 powered iPhone 4, iPhone Touch, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and other devices.  However, many users of the website gave feedback about the service that it is another scam website.

    iPhone Dev Team, which develops free iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad Jailbreak software, said earlier that the team is working to provide tools to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 powered devices. The current version of GreenPois0n software doesn’t jailbreak iOS 4.1 devices. They also warned that installing the iOS 4.1 over Jailbroked iOS 4.0 will break the Jailbreak of the device.

    The website name is iPhoneUnlocking.com. Readers should be aware that many Examiner users have reported that it is scam website.   If you have already used their service then please update us with the comments.

    Sprint recently pushed the latest update of 3.29.651.5 to HTC Evo 4G. While the new update brings many new features, it looks like that Sprint has successfully broken the barrier of 30 frames per second.

    According to Engaged and Product Reviews, it was initially believed that achieving more than 30 fps was near to impossible through the software. However, Sprint and HTC proved many of us wrong. Even HTC has said at one stage that Frame per Second barrier cannot be broken with software update alone.

    Pegatron, which is Taiwan based hardware maker, will start producing the CDMA based iPhone this year.  According to multiple reports, Apple will receive four to five million CDMA iPhone / Verizon iPhone 4 units in the first batch.

    About one in four current iPhone users are ready to change the wireless carriers from AT&T to Verizon if Apple launches Verizon iPhone 4 by the end of this year.

    According to Credit Suisse, 23% of current AT&T iPhone users will change their carrier if Verizon iPhone hits the store shelves. There are around 6 million iPhone users in the United States therefore 23% of users will be about 1.4 million.

    The CDMA version of iPhone is only possible if iPhone exclusive contract between Apple and AT&T ends. Major news outlets including Blookberg have already reported that Verizon iPhone will be launched around Christmas 2010.

    Apple released the latest version of its phone, iPhone 4, in June. Apple held another launch event in September but California based Mac Maker skipped the release of Verizon iPhone and White iPhone 4 in both events. There were some rumors in the wireless industry that Apple is planning to make both White iPhone 4 and Verizon iPhone available in the shopping season of 2010. With the new update,  it looks like that the rumors about the Christmas release of White iPhone 4 were actually true.

    Droid Life, the droid community website, has published the image of a semi-hidden document which shows that Verizon is planning to push the Android 2.2 Froyo soon. The page doesn’t mention the exact date when nation’s largest carrier the give Android 2.2 gift to its Droid X owners but it lists the features which Droid X devices will get after the Froyo update.

    The document seems to exist on DroidDoes.com website and it is opened with Google Chrome browser in the leaked picture. The images also shows that the document / web-page was last updated on September 10, 2010 therefore it means that it is that old text.

    Verizon launched Droid X in July 2010 with the promise the device will get the latest version of Google Mobile OS. Droid X owners are waiting for the Android 2.2 Froyo update since then.
