November 16th, 2010AppleApple is all set to launch something really big today apart from iTunes 10.1, iOS 4.2 which are also expected to released anytime now. Apple replaced the homepage of its website with a big banner saying that it will have some “exiting announcement” today. The way Apple is promoting the next thing, it seems that something big like Verizon iPhone 4 may be coming today. It is already confirmed that Apple and Verizon Wireless has agreement with regards to the Verizon iPhone 4 in the first three months of 2010. However, it won’t be surprising if Verizon offers pre-orders of the device especially when we are just two weeks away from the shopping season of the 2010.
“Tomorrow is just another day. That you’ll never forget”, Apple says on its homepage. There is surely something beyond just iOS 4.2 and iTunes 10.1 which Apple will release today. Verizon iPhone 4 will also be on the cards for Apple’s announcement today.
Apart from Verizon iPhone 4 and iOS 4.2, AP reported today that Apple plans to make exciting iTunes announcement today. The Mac Maker will reportedly add streaming ability to its iTunes service.

Apple has once again delayed the launch of iOS 4.2. The software, which was supposed to be launched earlier this month, has been postponed till November 24. It is difficult to know the exact reason of the delay of iOS 4.2 release. However there are few possibilities including the Verizon iPhone.
Verizon iPhone 4: There are rumors which regards to iOS 4.2 and Verizon iPhone. Few news sources are now speculating that iOS 4.2 will come along Verizon iPhone 4 which is due to be released early next year. It is very difficult to see that what is happening on the Apple side. However, the possibility of the combined launch of Verizon iPhone and iOS 4.2 may not make any sense.
Wi-Fi Bug: Electronista reported that Apple testers have found a Wi-Fi bug in iOS 4.2 powered devices during the testing phase. The report indicated that the bug was not in all devices.
Whatever is the reason iOS 4.2 delay but the bottom line is that iPhone 4 and iPad owners will have to wait for some more time until they get the new OS.
Conclusion: It will not surprise me to see Verizon iPhone and iOS 4.2 together considering the secretive culture and surprising history of Apple.

November 10th, 2010AppleApple is expected to release iOS 4.2 for its mobile devices including Apple iPad, iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4. The software version will bring many new things including the print feature called AirPrint for Apple iPad. iOS 4.2 will also reportedly improve the performance of iPhone 3G which is under performing since Apple released iOS 4.
Verizon iPhone: Apple reportedly plans to launch Verizon iPhone in few weeks now. It is believed that Apple will not put the future Verizon iPhone 4 owners in difficult position by asking them to update their phones right after the purchase. Therefore, Verizon iPhone 4 is now expected to have iOS 4.2 as default Operating System.
It will also be interesting to see that what extra features Verizon iPhone will bring apart from what we are have in current iPhone 4. On the contrary, it is also possible that Verizon iPhone becomes a trim down version of GSM based iPhone. Just like Verizon iPad which doesn’t have built-in CDMA receiver.

Like iPhone 4 and other Droid phones, Droid Pro also has touchscreen keyboard. According to reports, Motorola Droid Pro will be available for $299. Verizon is launching Android phones one after another which raises the question about the carriers’ plans about Verizon iPhone release. According to reports, CDMA iPhone 4 for Verizon Wireless will hit the U.S. market in the first quarter of 2011. The reports also indicate that Verizon iPhone 4 is in the field testing phase which is considered as one of the last steps of any product development.
It is commonly believed that Verizon Wireless won’t want to miss the shopping season of 2010. Therefore, it is expected that the network will start the pre-order of Verizon iPhone 4 before new year eve.

Apple has indirectly acknoledged that it has killed the white version of iPhone 4. However, at the same time, company indirectly confirmed that it will bring White iPhone 5. Apple said the in the statement yesterday that it will not launch new White iPhone until Sprint 2011. “We’re sorry to disappoint customers waiting for the white iPhone again,” Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller was quoted as saying by Reuters.
The short statement raise many questions. One question is related to the carrier of the phone. There are rumors that Verizon will be first carrier to have White iPhone 4. Or in simple words, Verizon iPhone is actually the White Model of iPhone 4.
One can only confirm the Verizon iPhone (or iPhone CDMA) rumors from Apple or Verizon Wireless. However, Verizon should consider itself lucky if it gets White Verizon iPhone 4. Many AT&T customers have not renewed their contract just because of White iPhone and it is likely that good percentage of these customers may switch to Verizon.
